The Netherlands Hengelo was where the fifth meeting of German-Dutch teacher teams took place (05.-06.02.2014). Before the meeting, the Dutch and German students had realized practical contacts in the neighboring border regions. The teachers then reflected the course, the preparation and follow-up of the practice contacts in the schools as well as the added value of the performed mobility for the vocational orientation of their pupils. Together with the lecturers, the teachers optimized the concepts for the permanent implementation of cross-border practice contacts in their schools. The implementation of this topic is supported by the didactic-methodical materials developed by lecturers in the project IMPULS. Special attention is paid to the development of intercultural competences in students.

In the meeting participated: Michaelschule Papenburg, Berufskolleg Ennepetal, Stichting openbaar voortgezet onderwijz De Waerdenborch and lecturers from Saxion Hogeschool Enschede, ROC van Twente College voor Educatie Zuid (host) and the Institut für Ökonomische Bildung (project coordinator).
